At the conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:
- Assess the data for stone free rate for a 1cm lower pole stone after SWL
- Assess the non-stone free factors that influence SWL as a modality for a 1cm lower pole stone, including patient preferences, contraindications
- Review the current guidelines for the management of Lower pole stones
- Examine the recent literature on treatment success comparing RIRS to SWL and PCNL
- Discuss tips/tricks using RIRS to improve treatment success
- Compare outcomes of PCNL to other approaches
- Highlight patients where PCNL may be your first line option
- Discuss progression of miniaturization
